It is important that you always read the label that appears on the packaging. The packaging will give you information on the light, color, energy use and the expected life span. You should know the lingo that is used therein like the lumens, color temperature and the color rendering index. Lumens is how luminous the bulb is, and the higher it is, the brighter the light is going o be. The color temperature refers to the light color ranging from yellow to white. The color rendering index is how accurately the colors appear under the bulb's light.
